Art Work > Green Pastures

These Barns were part of a complex of a dairy system partially run by minimum security prisoners of the New Jersey State Prison System. The prisoners tended the milking and birth of the cows, feeding and caring for the animals. The double muscle Belgian Blue on this site was one unusual animal in that it was a beef cattle. The State closed this facility (Skillman Dairy Farm).

This painting is in a private collection.
